CÉCRED by Beyoncé
The Challenge
CÉCRED — Beyoncé's premium haircare brand — was building something from the ground up. A full line of haircare products that needed to look flawless on shelf, maintain absolute consistency across dozens of SKUs, and hold up against the most competitive beauty retail environment in the country.
The brand needed more than a printer. They needed a production partner who understood the gap between an approved design and a package that actually prints the way it was intended — someone who could protect design intent through every stage of the process, across every format, every substrate, every revision.
The Relationship
Print-ability came into the CÉCRED world through Ariluden, the agency leading the brand's packaging development. Brought in to handle packaging production on the agency side, we were responsible for taking approved designs and building the production-ready files that would actually go to press — final artwork, mechanicals, prepress, file release.
We were arms-length from CÉCRED at that stage. But the work spoke for itself.
About a year in, CÉCRED's packaging team reached out directly. They'd seen how we operated — the precision, the communication, the ability to move fast without making mistakes — and they wanted that relationship for themselves. We've been working directly with CÉCRED ever since.
Design Process
Production That Protects the Design
Our role on CÉCRED has never been creative — it's been something harder. Taking what the designers built and making sure it survives contact with the real world. That means interrogating every file before it goes anywhere near a press. Catching the issues that would have cost time and money. Flagging inconsistencies across SKUs before they become production problems.
With a haircare line spanning multiple product categories — shampoos, conditioners, treatments, styling products — maintaining a consistent visual language across every piece requires a disciplined production framework. We built that framework and held it across every format, every substrate, and every update over the course of a multi-year engagement.
Color accuracy, dieline management, regulatory copy, version control — all of it managed with the same standard: what was designed is what gets printed.
Growing Into In-Store
As the direct relationship deepened, CÉCRED's packaging team came back with something new. The brand was heading into ULTA Beauty — a major front-of-store moment — and they needed the same production rigor applied to in-store graphics and environmental display materials.
They trusted us to take it on. We did, and we crushed it.
Print-ability executed the full suite of in-store graphics for the CÉCRED launch at ULTA — large-format display materials, shelf graphics, signage, and environmental brand elements designed to create a cohesive brand experience at the front of store. The same standards we'd applied to the packaging carried through to every inch of the in-store build.
Results & Outcomes
A Packaging System That Held at Scale
Across the full CÉCRED haircare line, every SKU printed the way it was designed. Consistent color, consistent typography, consistent finish — across every format and every substrate. No surprises at press. No reprints.
A Front-of-Store Presence That Performed
The ULTA in-store installation gave CÉCRED a commanding presence exactly where it needed one. The environmental graphics and display system created an immersive brand moment that stopped people and converted them — front of store, front of mind.
A Relationship Built on Results
The real outcome is the one that's still going. What started as agency subcontract work grew into a direct, multi-year partnership — because the people closest to the work kept coming back. That's the only metric that matters.
Print-ability doesn't just prepare files. We protect your brand from design to shelf.
